Sunil Grover is an Indian actor and comedian, popular for playing the TV character, Gutthi. His most famous character to date has been Dr. Mashoor Gulati, Rinku bhabhi from the Kapil Sharma Show. Grover was discovered during his college days by the late satirist Jaspal Bhatti. He has also acted in India's first Silent comedy show, SAB TV's Gutur Gu in the initial 26 episodes. He has also been known for his ability to mimic various Bollywood actors. He was with Kapil in the stand up comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil and became immensely popular playing comical character, Gutthi. He left the popular show for sometime and later again made an entry with the new character as the father-in-law to the show’s lead Kapil Sharma.
Sunil Grover along with Manish Paul had also done a comedy show on Star Plus, titled Mad in India but his charm as Chutki could not attract the attention of the audience. The show came to an end soon and he finally stepped back to his old show with Kapil.He has also made a debut in a Punjab film Vaisakhi List in 2016 with Jimmy Shergill.In March, 2017 Kapil Sharma had allegedly assaulted Sunil Grover during a flight from Australia to Mumbai. The show’s entire team was in Australia for a tour, and the incident took place when the actors were returning to Mumbai.Kapil reportedly misbehaved and abused Sunil loudly on the flight, which got the attention of the co-passengers too. Post this mid-air rift, Grover walked out of The Kapil Sharma Show, resulting in a drop of TRPs of the show.
